Welcome to Lent

Welcome to that favorite time of year: Lent! Okay, perhaps not your favorite time of year. But, here at Greenpoint, we invite you to take a new look at it this year. During these last cold blasts that winter has to give, take a moment for reflection. This is a time for experimenting: while Lent is traditionally associated with fasting and solemn repentance, it’s done in the name of striving to connect with God. Let this be a time to wipe away those things that keep us from opening our hearts to God and to one another. Sometimes that might mean making a new commitment of some kind (yes, even fasting counts), that reminds you to look to God for love and support. Oh, and look to the church, too!
