Give / Support

The Greenpoint Reformed Church Hunger Program has provided no-cost groceries and a weekly hot meal to hungry people in Northern Brooklyn. It takes $6,000 per week to feed all these people. Much of the money comes from government food programs, but we still need $1,500 per week for additional food and things like utilities, building maintenance, volunteer coordination and overall administration.

All donations are tax deductible and we are a registered 501c3 non-profit. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender presentation, immigration status or faith background (or lack thereof). Anyone and everyone can receive food at the soup kitchen or food pantry, no questions asked.

We are able to buy food from the Food Bank of NYC for 10-18 cents a pound. For example, a case of 12 cans of Progresso soup costs $3.06 (almost $.25 per can) and box of Cheerios costs $.27.
