Volunteer

Interested in helping to feed hungry people? We want to make volunteering as simple and easy as possible. Your help is needed!

* Wednesday volunteers are needed to:
3-5:30pm – cooking the meal
6-7pm – serving
6-8pm – cleaning up
5-8 preparing grocery bags for the food pantry

* Thursday volunteers are needed to:
10am-1pm - set up/distribute food
2-5:30pm - clean up/more food distribution.

Volunteers are always needed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can come when you can and stay as long as you like. The times listed are approximate, and you do not have to arrive at the beginning of them or stay throughout the entire time.

Due to the growth of people wanting to volunteer at our food program, our church has developed a volunteer guideline in order to ensure safety and general wellness for our staff members and our volunteers.

-If you decide to bring someone under the age of 16 please contact with Pastor CB first. She can be reached through email (CB@greenpointchurch.org)

-We welcome any social groups! If you are coming as a group or as a volunteer who might require certain needs, please contact CB so that she may accommodate you and your group better.

-All volunteers are welcomed to take a bag home. The bag however has to be as same as any other bags at the pantry.

-Volunteers are not allowed to favor one client over the other (this means that volunteers are not allowed to give multiple bags to a client they favor)

-Stealing, cursing, alcohol consumption, verbal/physical violence, and inappropriate behavior is strictly forbidden in our church.

We are also in need of volunteers who have specific skills:

* Electrical, plumbing or general contracting
* Graphic design and/or web design
* Grants research and writing
* Organizing fundraising events
