Worship

We gather together each Sunday at 11am.

We gather to praise God for the blessings of our lives, to ask forgiveness for the mistakes than we have made, and to listen and enact Christ’s message of hope and reconciliation.

Our liturgy is both traditional and relevant, with Sunday sermons typically based upon the lectionary texts of the day. We sing a wide variety of songs and hymns, both the old standards and some new ones as well.

We attempt to use inclusive language for God whenever possible, though you are encouraged to use the words that speak to your heart whether more traditional words or inclusive ones.

Children

Children are wonderfully welcome to our service. The sounds of children in church are welcomed with great joy, even when they are very loud sounds. Read more about our Family Ministry.

Childcare is available in our nursery for the youngest among us also, for parents who want to use church-time for a break.

Inclusiveness

Greenpoint attempts to be an inclusive community and so works to utilize language which allows all of us to feel a part of God’s message.

When celebrating communion, we use grape juice so that all are welcome to take part in the sacrament.

Recordings from all of our recent worship services are available online.
