We gather together each Sunday at 11am to praise God for the blessings of our lives, to ask forgiveness for the mistakes than we have made, and to listen and enact Christ’s message of hope and reconciliation.

Our liturgy is both traditional and relevent, with Sunday sermons typically based upon the lectionary texts of the day. We sing a wide variety of songs and hymns, both the old standards and some new ones as well. We attempt to use inclusive language for God whenever possible, though you are encouraged to use the words that speak to your heart whether more traditional words or inclusive ones.
Children play a large role in our worship service participating actively in everything we do. They often will select hymns, offer prayer concerns and teach us about God during the children’s sermon. Childcare is available in our newly created nursery for the youngest among us, but the sounds of children in church are also welcomed with great joy.
Greenpoint attempts to be an inclusive community and so works to utilize language which allows all of us to feel a part of God’s message. When celebrating communion, we use grape juice so that all are welcome to take part in the sacrament.
