Today is the first day of Advent. Advent is traditionally understood to be a season of waiting, of reflection and anticipation. In North America, it also falls during the darkest period of the year. We wander in darkness as we wait for the renewal and hope that Jesus’ birth embodies.
Once again this year we’ll be posting a poem, reflection, or picture on our public Facebook page and on the website each day. We’ll also have the previous week’s reflections available in print each Sunday morning at church. If you’d like to contribute a reflection, email cb[at]greenpointchurch.org.
