Sunday Visitors Share about Housing Insecurity and Staying Homeful
In this morning’s service we welcomed Kercena Dozier, the Director of Community Relations for the city’s Department of Homeless Services, and Amy Nunez, an advocate from the city’s Homebase program. They shared with us strong and educational testimonies about keeping community members in their homes and ending veteran homelessness, emphasizing the role of local congregations like ours in partnering to get and keep folks in our community housed. If this is an issue that touches your heart and engages your hands, or if you or someone in your life is experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, I encourage you to listen. Their testimonies provide many ways to plug in and access support.
